Since when its dawn you have to leave
The sun starts rising

Because you don't want to leave

Home My grandmother would say it's because I'm restless and young. My dad would peel himself away from the TV just long enough to grunt, "Did you take your pills?". But downing the bottle could not keep these thoughts away. No matter how many books I bury myself in, or the countless hours I stay at the computer redrafting old poems. I could watch every show, every movie created until my brain becomes slop in my skull. But the fears and desires I so stubbornly keep at bay always find there way in on nights like these.

The fear of oblivion, and the desire to run. The fear of oppression, and the desire for adventure.

I'm laying on my side in bed

Girl in the GlassI hate this girl
With the sneer on her lips
Her fingers knotted in her pretty hair
Her eyes are wild
Manic, sadistic
She's so curvy it's almost sad
She can't hold down a diet
She's hideous
And stupid
She keeps yanking down her sleeves to cover those pathetic scars
Her eyes are droppy
Her legs too wide
Ink stains on her finger tips
And pentagram's drawn on her sneakers
She has a silver ring and leather coat
She's so desperate to worm into some else's skin
I don't want to hate her but I do
Who is this, stupid bitch who's smiling like she doesn't have a clue?
Putting on a brave face? Ready to face her accuser?

Below a crimson sky
Sings an azure willow
She's simply asking 'why?'

Among the yellow buds
Lay broken hearts so red
Each so very wounded
They surely must be dead

Blue grass bends in sorrow
Green parrots sing sad songs
Elven folk stand crying
For a world so full of wrong

Sunbeams kiss the dying
The moon sends healing dust
Angels sew the deep wounds
Of those who gave in trust

Faery folk bring new wings
And very special gifts
Eyes that see a thousand worlds
And words men's souls to lift

Healed, these hearts are rising
Composing ballads for the stars
Newborn poets flying
With such beauty in their sc

Everlasting LoveEverlasting Love.

Two wrinkled hands intertwined with one another.
Their frail legs moving at a notably slow pace.
They always come in to the store every Sunday morning.
Buying their weekly packets of bird nuts and wild berries.
The elderly man always gives me a subtle wink whenever he sees me.
Comments on the amount of female partners I should be courting.
While the elderly women casts an innocent smile.
Ignoring her husbands repeated jokes and tugs him out the store.

The next week the elderly man is pushing his wife about the store.
His arms straining from the weight of the wheel chair.
He holds up two variations of bird berries

I am doneShadow to shadow
I don’t have a home
My heart has been stolen
And so is my soul

Fire to fire
I burn slowly in pain
My body turns into ash
And gets washed with the rain

I cut myself willingly
I give myself easily
I tear myself silently
I'll end myself finally

Touch and KissTouch and kiss me
Make me fall
Back in love

If you care

Don't let my heart bleed

Were falling and tangling up
Further and further
At our breaking point
Shattering on the bathroom floor
Into pieces, broken bottles and hoarse screams
Mixing with pouring water and empty promises
Digging nails into skin
Whiskey spilling over onto the bed
Table tops and soaking clothes
Bitter
Addicting
Your love is like whiskey

A StrangerIts strange to see you
After all these months
This past year
The hell fires I fought through
Isn't it unfair?
How this little exchange works?
That you breaking me made me who I am
But who I am
Is someone who could have loved you
Wholly, fully.
Without limits.
The little quirks that this battle installed in me
Are things that could have saved me

I'm gonna drink you and yes, our love is insane
